Am I the only one confused out of my skull about the episode arrangement for 6x09 through 6x13? Is 2009 just flat out getting cut? I thought we had a song listing just a few days ago?

Oh I’m sure you’re not the only one confused. I was confused up until this press release…So I ‘think’ we now have our answer. This is what’s happening:

1. Feb 20 - 6.08 ‘A Wedding’

2. Feb 27 - 6.10 ‘Child Star’ 

3. March 6  - 6.11 ‘The Rise and Fall of Sue Sylvester’

4. March 13  - 6.12 ‘We Built This Glee Club’  (this was previously left empty on the Fox schedule released about a week ago - but today’s press release fills it) 

5. March 20 - 6.09 ‘2009’ and 6.13 ‘Dreams Come True’ - (This is assuming both hours are still airing. We do not know which order these two eps will happen in)

Also - re: the song releases for '2009' last week. I am pretty sure that was just that 'Shazam' and 'Amazon' didn't get the memo about the switched timeslots so posted the songs way too early in error.

I was just thinking about how FOX is going on about 6 episodes left. I presume because the last two eps are going to be aired on the same night that maybe they're just advertising it like one episode. All of these changes with air dates and 2009 etc is killing me but I presume that's why they're constantly saying one less episode than what is actually filmed. idk.

Yeah I guess so? That’s my guess about why Fox is advertising the way it is (ie the number of weeks versus the number of episodes). 

I can tell you this - There are 13 episodes of Glee bring produced this season.

BUT - the most recent Fox schedule from this week did confuse me. ‘2009’ wasn’t forgotten. It was listed underneath the list with no air date, and there was no Glee ep scheduled for March 13. I don’t know. i really don’t.

He also confirmed that he is directing 6.12, and not (also) 6.13.

Ok spoiler queen - I can't keep everything straight. ;-) What's your spec on the "final" episode - is it 6x12 but 2 hours long? Darren & other crew tweeted that filming started on the final episode this week, yet people are tagging 6x12. And which one is Joaquin directing? And where does 6x13 come into play? I know no one has exact answers, esp re 6x12 & x13 numbering, but what's going on? LOL

Curtsies and bows. (I am about to go out but I think I can answer most of this) - I am using production numbers (ie. ‘2009’ is 6.09, Child Star 6.10 etc):

1. The final episode that started this week is 6.13. Not 6.12. 

2. Joaquin is directing 6.12 which is the sectionals episode. It is not wrapped yet but 6.13 has begun. Sectionals (the competition) is filming for today and probably Monday as well (and Friday). 6.13 started on Thursday.

3. Filming is scheduled to end sometime the week after next week (the week ending Feb 20) but I don’t think the date is firm firm  because they need to finish it whatever it takes.

4. I have no idea why Fox is advertising 6 episodes left when there are 7. The current FOX schedule (that came out this week AFTER the press release with ‘Child Star’ airing right after ‘A Wedding’ came out) has NO Glee episode on March 13, 6.12 and 6.13 on March 20 and ‘2009’ is listed underneath with NO air date. (I have no idea). 

5. Regardless, there are two episodes scheduled to air on March 20. 6.12 is not a double script. It was out and “the final script’ wasn’t out yet (according to Joaquin). There is an episode 6.13.

That’s what we know for now…subject to Glee and its infinite scheduling confusion ;)

so does that mean they are not going to show the 9th episode?

They already filmed it, I’m sure they’ll show it. It just doesn’t seem like they’ve decided when, yet.

It will probably be the last episode, and they'll move 6.12 and 6.13 around accordingly.

Do you know why Glee is advertising that there are 7 episodes left, which would be 12 episodes for the season, instead of 7 *weeks* left to reflect the previous announcement of 2 episodes on the last night? Is there any recent confirmation on what is actually airing on the last night (one two-hour episode? one one-hour episode? two one-hour episodes?). Thanks!

Yes Fox is SO confusing about this and I have no idea why. Sometimes they are saying 7 eps left, sometimes 8….

I can tell you that we pretty much have official confirmation that all 13 scripts are happening (as in, no episodes have been cut). Joaquin talked about not yet starting 13, and the filming days left suggest that all 13 eps are happening (based on Darren’s 19 days of filming left from about 8 days ago). 

And now that it looks like the episode ‘2009’ will air the finale night - I think it’s safe to say that there will be 2, one hour eps airing that night. But for some reason Fox is billing it as if it’s one ep. I do not know!

So is filming starting back up the week of the premiere(the 5th of Jan through the 9th). I would think their break would be 2 weeks, which that would be.

Yup, that’s my good guess. Ever since I’ve followed this show there has been a two week production hiatus at this time. Back at work Jan 5. :)
