Things were going well with the Journals.
Admittedly. Bill had gotten somewhat distracted living the human life, it was not every day that the God had the opportunity to indulge himself on the luxuries of the human form. And what were dreams really but another form of indulgence? How could he be expected to refuse what was in his very nature? It was mad to assume he would.
That being said he was reaching a point of stagnation with his Will Slyfer persona. Changes had to be made. He could use more people with a working knowledge of the town and everything in it.
And this was the only reason why he bothered with his summoner. Gideon Gleeful had been very apparent in his desire to terminate their deal during his first days returned to his God Form; so why he was going back to him was really a matter of necessity.
That was why Bill had adapted a human form and was sitting in the middle of the Tent of Telepathy watching Gideon preach to an adoring crowd. It was over the top obnoxious and also
All of this was Gideon's current dream. One Bill had set up for him entirely so he could crash it.
The triangle had a flair for theatrics- he doubted Gideon of all people would be able to call him out on it.
So as the show reached its peak, Bill waved his hand and the smiling faces of the cheering crowd slowly melted away leaving Gideon standing in front of a literal faceless crowd that had gone from a standing ovation to suddenly sitting still in their seats like mannequins wearing the skin of the townspeople. It was perfectly still.
Slowly Bill brought his hands together, standing up and gliding through the faceless statues he had created and toward the Gleeful boy, who was most likely clever enough to recognize him, even in his human form. Humanoid, perhaps was a better word, judging by the elfish ears and unnaturally glowing eyes.
"Brilliant performance, really Gideon I'm floored." Another clap of his hands and the floor turned to eyes- another dramatic touch just for fun. "But let's get down to business shall we?"
The floor of eyes focused on Gideon and a table ad two chairs appeared. "Whether you know it or not, you've been calling to me, Gideon." This was mostly true. "And I want to know why..."
