"Are you ticklish?"
“Don’t be ridiculous, Mabel. I ain’t the ticklish type.” Gideon seemed more amused by the question than anything but only because this was Mabel he was speaking to. In fact, everything he had just said was a complete lie. Of course he was ticklish and he hated it.
“Oh, Mabel. You come up with the silliest little thing’s. I do believe I’ve only seen that grapplin’ hook of yours once before. Mind showin’ it to me some time around?” he asked politely, finding her declaration quite amusing. She was so random and he couldn’t help but find that adorable, just like her sweaters!
“Ya think so? They got bunches of really neat songs fer sure!” Gideon squeaked excitedly as they entered, walking up to the front first so they could both get an ice-cream before sitting down. “You like booths, don’t ya? I want ya to be as comfy as possible when we sit down.”
"Thanks Gideon! I’d love to show you the grappling hook after our date!” Mabel again grinned at Gideon as they approached the front. “Oooh! Music?! That’s awesome!” She paused. “Yeah! Booths are really cool! They’re like couches for eating!”
“That’d be great. I don’t believe I know how to use one myself- maybe you could show me?” He suggested, liking the fact that she was referring to their little hangout as a date. “Alright, well let’s grab our sweets and I’ll lend ya quarter so you can turn soemthin’ else on that ol’ jukebox over there. I’m not really a fan of country music.” He admitted, looking to the woman behind the counter. He couldn’t exactly look over it from his height. “I’ll take three scoops of Napoleon ice-cream on a waffle cone with sprinkles.” He told her politely, looking to Mabel afterwards as if waiting for her to pick something out.
"AW MAN! I’LL TAKE A STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM WITH EXTRA SPRINKLES! AND A WAFFLE CONE! AND A NAPKIN!” She slammed her hands on the table and yelled her order. She then pulled her arms into her sweater and pulled out her grappling hook. She shot it above an empty booth and it grabbed onto a beam above. it then launched her towards the booth and she let go as the rope reached the hook and landed on the table in the booth “OW.”
