Shortcircles - All I Can Ever Be For You
Matt Tammariello's affinity with electronic beats began way back when he was a teen harbouring an almighty obsession with hip hop - but you can read all about that here to save me waffling on.
Taken from newly released LP 'Between Waves', 'All I Can Ever Be For You' shows how Tammariello has successfully merged hip hop with ambient music, and what a beautiful union it is. Borrowing the vocals of long time friend and collaborator Glenn Jackson, this is what he refers to as 'honest' music, and the bright, smooth synth mixed with those high snares is certainly fresh.
This is music from a man who knows the only way is up, and there is no doubt Shortcircles will continue to garner attention from around the internet and continue his rise to prominence. This is one to watch. I also recommend checking out Tammariello's record label Plug Research to discover other artists with a similar vibe.
