We got together at the 30th of June 2007 with Sid Lucero as our witness. He joined me in a Maalaala Mo Kaya shoot in Quezon City where my professor was the cinematographer.
I was in my last year in film school and he was barely getting through 3rd year. We were classmates in grade school but no, not childhood sweetheart-type; I was one of the boys then.
Past came highschool and college, we went to different schools. We met again in one of those classmate-organized reunions and the rest became history.
Now, we're talking of marriage, properties and parenting style. No, I'm not pregnant but I just never imagined.
After dinner at Kirin, Bonifacio High Street.
And I cannot imagine the rest of my life without my shock-absorbing, wish-granting, kengkoy boyfriend whom I call Lab, Honey and sometimes, Glentot.
I mean, I wish I can express how great it is to have somebody whom I can share everything with, somebody I've known my whole life and who’d sacrifice that last bite of Reese's for me. Somebody who'd hold out for my team, no matter how absurd our beliefs; somebody who'd wait and watch me secretly in dance class; somebody who'd help me solve my most pathetic problems including scouring all department stores possible for the mug I need for our kitchen (wide and short, bowl-type so we can make our morning cereals and drink milk on it.); somebody who’d spend nights learning the chords to my current favorite songs so I can sing along; somebody who helped my cousins lift our grandfather at his hospital bed and joined me travel the far end of the country to visit my grandmother; and most importantly, somebody who accepted me and all my past, flaws, toyo and plain craziness.
