"They'll have some more to talk about.~"
"You really think so huh? Is that your way of being sweet on a girl like me?" The grin on her painted and glossed lips only grew with each word that left them.

I'm CACKLING. Poor Mel and her 5'0" self. Eye level with... ahem. She's just over here stewing simply because he's so tall like he's done it one PURPOSE lol. I'm so so sorry about her. Protect your shins Kizaru!
Part 2 from [X]
🤔 - What’s something they’ll never understand?
Wow. There's a lot that this could apply to honestly. If we're keeping with her OP verse then that narrows it down a bit.
The Marines. She doesn't understand them at all. She's lived in that world for half her life and seen so many atrocities in the name of justice. None of it was justice. There's people in the Navy, like Garp, who she doesn't understand why they remain. They're genuinely good people, but are they really doing that much good when there are so many monsters like her father in the ranks? It's something she thinks about a lot.
Something else she doesn't understand is her father's obsession with a place he gave up. Her parents left the Holy Land long before she was born. Why? She's never gotten a real answer beyond "we were young and foolish. we wanted adventure". The world of the Celestial Dragons is something she's never experienced and after everything she's seen while in the Marines, she doesn't want it. Yet, Melody is always eager to please the people she cares about and even if she didn't care to ever be considered a Celestial Dragon she'd have done everything to achieve that dream for her father.
She also doesn't understand the revulsion her father has for Devil Fruits. He expected her to surpass everyone in the Marines and take the mantle of Fleet Admiral, yet all of the top brass within the Marines hold Devil Fruits. She isn't sure how he thought she'd ever achieve such a thing.
