Chapter 7: Starclan’s Warrior

Eggpaw’s first chapter! The pacing feels a bit off to me, but it was still a lot of fun to finally get into this little guy’s head. Eggpaw is a lot of fun to write, because he’s the most introspective of the three, so we only get to see what his true thoughts and feelings are in his POV.

I also had a lot of fun with the backgrounds for this chapter, especially the Starclan backgrounds. It was so much fun coming up with what I wanted Starclan to look like for Stained Stars, and I’m very happy with what I ended up with.

I’m almost done with chapter 5, so expect to see it next week. I’m aiming for Friday. In the meantime, here’s the refs for the other 2 clans that I made for chapter 3. All 3 border clans also exist in a Lifegen file, and I play them as I write the story. I’m not taking very detailed notes or anything, so you won’t be seeing much of them unless it involves Bogclan. These refs aren’t even the whole clans, just the cats that went to the gathering.

Chapter 3: Foxes Roam These Woods

Finally finished chapter 3, aka Foggypaw’s no good, very bad week. This was such a big chapter art wise, which is why it took so long (on top of having to design cats for the other three clans). Hopefully the next chapter will be quicker.

I totally forgot that this chapter takes place in the fall when I was colouring, so that cats keep talking about how cold it is and how the Moon Tree has lost all of its leaves while surrounded by a very green and lush forest. My bad. I didn’t notice until I was proofreading, and by then it was way too late to fix the art. I tried putting an orange tint over some of the bushes and trees, but I just couldn’t get it to work without having to completely redo the backgrounds.

Glintstar, who is a very bad kitty
