Scylla put her phone back in her pocket, shoving off the bad feeling she had gotten from Kendra’s most recent reblogs. It was nothing. The bad feeling was probably from Kendra herself. Yeah.

She waves goodbye to Jeremy, who’s getting in their mom’s car, Jason standing next to her. Tiny. Harmless.

Yeah. Harmless.

Jason can’t hurt anyone.

Look at him.

He’s tiny.

“Whatcha thinkin about, Scy?” Jason nudges her, and she tries her best to conceal the full-body shudder that tries to rip through her. 

“Oh, nothing.” She hums, pulling her phone back out and checking it again.

“What’s that?” Jason asks, and she looks down at him. 

“Oh, just uh.” She shuts her phone off. “Just Tumblr.”

“You’re on Tumblr? Sweet.” He grins, glasses glaring in the lamp light. “Who were you talking to?”

“...No one.” She shrugs. “Just an online friend.”

At that moment, her phone started to ring, a familiar ring tone that she had set expressly for Kendra after they had broken up, (Happier Than Ever, leave her alone, she was going through a phase.)

“Oh, who’s that?” Jason tilts his head. “You gonna pick up?”

[Proceed.]

Pick up the phone? Or hang up?

I'm sorry you're going through this stuff right now, man. Sure, Kendra was a bit mean to you, but she does seem sorry about it. She didn't deserve what happened to her.
