Then best way I can describe the way sun and moon see eclipse is summed up by the word uncomfortable

He’s nice enough, willing to help where he can and tries his best to advise them if they ask. But he also acts in ways that make them uncomfortable. He knows TOO much about them, down to the code. He listens to their conversations even if he isn’t apart of them and will then bring up something he overheard. He asks too many questions about what they do or where they are when they aren’t in their room.

He all around feels almost… possessive, and neither brother likes it. They’re honestly relieved he doesn’t have his own body.

I feel like eclipse isn't even trying to be possessive or anything, it just kinda happens.

He isn’t trying to. It’s not possessive like you would be with a partner, it’s more possessive as in “he keeps forgetting that they are sentient and want to make their own choices and treats them like house plants and or pets”

They’ve tried to explain that he can’t just pick them up out of nowhere and take them when they said no, and he always just replies “yes I can I just did”

There’s a very good distinction between the eclipse au with amnesiac moon and without him.

one where the main goal of Solar is to just restore his brothers memories, of which conflicts arise from misunderstandings as he takes advice from a well meaning but morally corrupt arcade machine

But if amnesiac moon isn’t there, his goal is different: revenge. He still requires the others help to find the intruder that killed his brother, but they aren’t necessarily on the same page. The others are under the assumption they are finding this person to get them arrested and stop the disappearances. Solar wants them dead, and while he holds nothing against the others he won’t take kindly to his goal being shamed or interrupted. Once again assisted in part by the arcade machine ai, who is better at helping plan murder then he is communicating.
