With her granddaughter having almost no social skills the girl had few friends, apart from the little creatures that stuck to her like glue. So now that the child was settled in Phel had decided that something needed to be done, another little girl brought into the fold.
That was what had brought her to purgatory, filled as it was with lost souls. They belonged to neither heaven nor hell, many just due to the circumstances of their birth.
The place broke her heart just a little, for it was where her mate had met her final end. Yet she pushed the memories aside, searching for something innocent, something her father would refuse to accept no matter its intent.
Soon she caught sight of a rosy-cheeked little girl, one who she knew would never be allowed into the light. Well her father's loss would be her gain, if she could manage to lure the child home.
"I know it's probably hard to believe little one, but I won't hurt you, and I've got some food if you want it." The grilled cheese sandwiches had been a pain to get this far if she was being honest, and were it not for the fact that her skin could absorb blood she'd be covered in it. Still she'd found nothing was quite as good for calming children down, and the scent carried quite well even in this fog.
Placing the package on a stump she stepped back, just to give the child space if she chose to come out. "You don't have to be afraid, not of me at least. Other things here...well they're not exactly friendly are they."
