Glittercloud CR 2 N Ooze Drifting aimlessly through the air is a floating blob roughly the size of a man. Its body is translucent and flickering with motes of beautiful light.

Glitterclouds are giant amoeba-like creatures that feed on the blood of the living. They sparkle with tiny flecks of magical energy and minerals, and can amplify this shining to fascinate and daze their prey. A glittercloud feeds by creating a link of negative pressure in the air—creatures have tiny droplets of blood squeezed through their skin, floating through the air into the glittercloud’s waiting surface. Glitterclouds are as mindless as most other oozes, but do not recognize each other as threats and so often congregate. They often find themselves prey to vampiric mists and other blood-feeding monsters.

Scintillate (Su) As a standard action once per day, a glittercloud may flash with hypnotic colors. All creatures within 30 feet that can see it must succeed a DC 12 Will save or be dazed for 1d3 rounds. This is a mind-influencing visual effect, and the save DC is Charisma based. Vampiric Drain (Su) As a standard action, a glittercloud may attempt to drain blood from a living creature within 30 feet. The creature must succeed a DC 13 Fortitude save or take 1d3 points of Constitution damage and 1 point of bleed. A glittercloud that succeeds a vampiric drain attack gains 5 temporary hit points. Creatures immune to bleed effects are immune to this ability. The save DC is Constitution based.
