Ache. It was going through her entire being even still, blue eyes closing and reopening with frequency against the sudden strong wind paired with snow. As she passed the graveyard’s gate, her index finger with thumb briefly moved across her forehead, lips and heart to form a tiny sign of the cross, soon before she moved her shut fist back to her mouth for warmth. Truth to be told, it wasn’t even all that cold despite the wind, but she was so cold as if the freeze itself has entered her. Something has entered her just minutes ago indeed.
Her throat burned like it has for many years, spreading inside her head and further in. She’s prayed to God before that her plan to finally put a stop to all this would work, but there was something incredibly scary about it still. What if everything would only turn worse? Suddenly she gasped when something grabbed her and a great fear overcame her that tonight wasn’t over just yet, that there was still some hunger left for her to satisfy. But this was a hunger of a different kind. Questioning. ❛ Raoul! ❜ She exhaled, blinking against the falling snow and frowning. Has he followed her once more after she told him off just earlier that day? ❛ What are you doing here? You shouldn’t be here... ❜ Christine shook her head, looking over her shoulder and back to him, slow as if she spent hours dancing with death. The frown on her forehead softened, hope inside her lapis eyes. Could it be that he came to help?
