Do global charts wait until all countries have finished their week?

So it depends on what specific chart you are looking at. They all will have their own rules!

For example, here’s how Spotify does their weekly charts: Songs or albums live on Spotify before or during the charting week is eligible (Friday 12:00 AM - Thursday 11:59 PM UTC).

I’ve been focusing on the Official Charts in the UK and the Billboard 200 in the USA as these are some of the big industry related album charts. But if there is a global chart that you are specifically interested in, let me know.

PS bottom line - it’s not gonna hurt to stream until close to the end of the day wherever you are located. Worst case those streams will just go towards next week’s data!
