Glocal :: The Bohri Kitchen and The Great Easter Home
Have you ever had an experience where you have been surprised by the city that you live in? On the 15th Of January I had bought us tickets for special dining experience by The Bohri Kitchen. The Bohri Kitchen is one of the most famous household names in the cuisine world of Mumbai. They have the most amazing Smoked Mutton Keema Samosas and to die for Biryani. If you are a foodie then this is one place you have to eat. What I find is most interesting about the whole dining experience is that this whole operation is a family affair. And one could easily see all the hard work that had gone into the whole event. There is a reason that they have a 4.4 rating on Zomato and its truly deserved. While we knew what to expect food wise we had no idea about the venue for the event. Since we stay in the Central Suburbs of Mumbai we have a very restricted few places we go to when in town. Byculla is not one of the place that we have explored and did not really have any expectations. The Great Eastern Homes turned out to be a beautiful oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle. With a small manmade pond in its backward and beautifully painted art gallery I was very surprised by the what I saw. The furniture gallery is something out of the Victorian Era. With chandeliers and 12feet tall 4 poster beds this is an Interior Designers dream. I know I will be eating all the Bohri cuisine for TBK again for sure and I cannot wait to go to the Great Eastern Homes again.
