Join us at the library this Thursday, August 21st

If you happen to be in the Bozeman area this week, Central Asia Institute would like to formally invite you to join us at the Bozeman Public Library this Thursday.

As part of a series with One Book - One Bozeman, CAI is partnering with the library to host a family fun evening featuring our #GlobalChalkCampaign, Pennies for Peace program, an opportunity to learn more about girls' education in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan.

Come join us at the library from 4 - 7pm this Thursday. And bring your kids! We hope to see you there.

Today's #GlobalChalkCampaign photo was taken at a CAI - supported school in Northern Pakistan. "Education can change our life," writes Arifa, a 7th grade student.  

There are countless ways that education can affect our lives, and we would like to hear what YOU think. Why should education be a right for every child in the world?

Six-year-old Nolan says education should be a right for all children, “so they learn.” In etching his answer on a chalkboard in Bozeman, Mont., last week and then posing for a photo, Nolan joined hundreds of children and adults all over the world who have participated in CAI’s Global Chalk Campaign. And he’s the opening act in this video of CAI’s gathering.
