It is getting ridiculously hot this week here in the City of Angles, or otherwise called Los Angeles. With degrees hitting almost 100 Fahrenheit (38 Celsius) it’s hard to choose the right kind of outfits and still look chic doing so, without necessarily sweat coming out of every pore of your body while attending school, running errands, meeting those clients, and so on…well, you get the picture.
So in order to prepare for summer, here are my hot summer outfit tips for you and what you should watch out for ;).
TIP #1: For goodness sake wear something flowy! Be creative. The flowier the better, because you let your body breath and you can choose from a wide variety of different tops from lacy to linen or cotton. So next time you want to put on that super-tight cotton tank top, where after you sit down for a couple of hours or more one can see the sweat-lines through the fabric, think again.
TIP #2: Stick to shorts and not mini skirts. Sure, mini skirts are nice because you think that most of your legs are exposed…Well let me tell you, once you sit outside for longer then an hour, having to press together your knees so as to not to reveal the color of the panties you are wearing today, you will start to sweat – regardless. So just stick to cute shorts and again, the flowier the more comfortable you will feel in them.
TIP #3: And in case you are dying to wear skirts nevertheless, try out and stick to longer and even maxi skirts. The cool thing about them is that you NEVER have to worry about maybe showing too much, while still feeling super comfy and free in them.
TIP #4: Go easy on the makeup. No matter just how much make-up you want to wear, once the weather is getting this ridiculously hot you just want to put on just the absolute minimum amount you have to. Do yourself and your skin a favor and let it breathe. Oh! & Don’t forget to put on sunscreen, as well as on the other exposed parts of your body. Better safe then sorry, right?
TIP #5: Always bring a sweater or other light cover up. You might think that this sounds crazy when it is 100 degrees outside, however building managers are blasting the AC from everywhere once you enter any building and so people get sick because of the fast temperature change. So in order to avoid this, make sure you wont freeze inside and can get cozy putting on a nice flowy cover-up over your cute summer outfit.
So as you can tell, the standard component of all the tips: FLOW. Why? Because flow is flow. Period ;).
