The New York Mets became pensive earlier on and reported that they couldn’t find where outfielder Yoenis Céspedes was after he didn’t report to Truist Park on Sunday for their game against the Atlanta Braves.
Céspedes never informed the team that he would be absent and, as of the start of their game Sunday, the Mets’ attempts to contact him had been unsuccessful.
