This red house at Willow Field in GloomvilIe (aka middle hood of Willow Creek) is home to 2 families in private sections. I have several lots that are housing two households each with their separated section like this, both in houses and apartments. With the locked doors feature it works fine, the only challenge is their cash. I keep individual accounts in my spreadsheet notes, but if there are moderate income and costs on both parts, I don’t bother with the everyday economics. If one section buys one expensive item or goes on vacation I will take notes.
2 households on on e lot works better when the families are small. This house started with 2 friends, Brenda Kammin and Zilla Brox renting one section each. Later on Brenda got engaged (they forgot to ever marry) and had 2 daughters, while Zilla never settled with a man, but on the last years of her Adulthood gave birth to triplets! So, today each section has 4 household members making it a bit hectic to play, but hey how and thanks for the pause button feature!
The picture above shows the first floor. Brenda’s family lives to the left, their got 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs and only combined living/kitchen downstairs. Zilla has it all on ground level, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom is seen there in the back.
Zilla’s 3 boys were the cutest toddlers ever, they ruled the house! Having several babysitters next door was a good thing, too!
Bart, Casanova and Ruperto never met their dad, and I’m not really sure whether Zilla ever informed him. He is a bartender she once had a short relation to. She is quite poor, otherwise she would have looked for a bigger home for them. I don’t think childhood will be very funny for them staying here.
Boys just grew up! And so did Zilla - she is now an Elder and I wonder how she will raise enough income to meet the future costs. She never made a career, mostly worked as a dishwasher. Perhaps she could start knitting to sell socks and sweaters on Plopsy?
Brenda and Mark next door are elders too, and their two daughters are teenagers. They did a lot better economically, both working much harder than Zilla.
Well, bars will tell, as they say at Willow Field.
