Can I just take the moment to say, that I love this AU so so much!!!TAT It's just sooo much fun. I love them being partners in crime aaaaa!!

Anyways, I wanted to definitely draw them super cool and dangerous looking.:-3 I liked the idea of Zuko looking indifferent and cold, and Jet being possessive, clingy, and willing to kill a lot for Zuko.:-33 I also sneaked in a bit of imagery in there of their dynamic: Zuko -> King of Hearts, Jet -> Joker. (Cause, you know, Joker beats all cards + gives a good Top!Jet analogy hehe)

Also, I love drawing blood!!!!! I love love love Jetko covered in blood especially, hell yea!!!!!

As for the text, it was the only thing I could think of.>.< I wanted to add a bit of typography.:-V

I made this sometime in 2023/24, I believe? Initially it was just supposed to be a character study, but then one thing left to another, and then it turned into a design!xD I had far too much fun with this one, and I also learned a lot from it! I used CSP, PS and a tiny bit of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 (yes it's old as hell, but still fun to play with). I'm also still insanely proud of the typography here. It's something I've struggled with for years, but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

He's a very difficult character to draw, imo. His hair is hard to get, but mainly, his expressions are the most difficult. The most subtle changes can mean everything. He's such a kind, yet heart wrenching character. He hides so much of his heart, yet displays it so openly.

A drawing + graphic design I did several months back. I was in a pretty bad funk, and didn't feel like drawing (hence why it's a bit wonky), but I really wanted to design something with a drawing (from scratch), so I forced myself lol.

I did the drawing and some texturing in CSP, and the typography, effects and additional texturing in PS. I also used some very old brushes that were a huge fav of mine when I was younger! (If you recognize them, I love you lol)

While this was fun, it is always a struggle to get me to make designs from original drawings. Give me an already made illustration/trace, screencap, or hell, a picture of a pickle; and I can work with it. But a drawing I made from scratch? oof.

I finally caved and made a straw.page.=0= I must admit, it was a REAL pain in the ass.TAT I initially wanted to make my own graphics and try to make it look like a layout; but quickly ditched that idea bc the editor was just really annoying to use, and didn't want my graphics to lose quality bc I can't upload things in their original sizes.=.= (I still managed to squeeze in 2 random graphics I've made for other layouts at least lol!)

I just copied and pasted my about from my tumblr with minor changes. I mostly wanted a straw.page bc you can at least put a lot of graphics, and have been wanting a page just for putting in links + and about for other socials that don't allow for a lot of space in bios. (not that I really use social media much...) Alsooo I like those drawing widgets lol. (fyi if you scroll down you can send me anon messages or a anon drawing~)

And yes, like a fucking loser, I cloned the bg several times because APPARENTLY you can't have a titled bg??? veryyy annoying. I'm also hoping now that I have an account, drawings/asks I send actually go through. I did keep my page off the explore page, but I don't think it should affect sending stuff.

Also LOL please don't click on my dreamwidth link yet, I'm still heavily editing the code (it's been taking me monthssss but I'm almost there lol); I just didn't want an awkward empty space :-V

A graphic design I did back in late 2023 I think? An experiment on typography and a bunch of other things lol. I wanted to see how far I could push type, to see if I could make something that doesn't really have a purpose, other than to exist.

I also used a bunch of stuff I've made and found. Some of the textures are stuff I've scanned, or taken photos of; while others are things I've had for eons. I've also used some brushes from CSP, effects from PS, and used InDesign for the typography.

(Also, should mention, I lost the source for the image of the man, though I believe it was from Pexels. i did heavily edit the two though. As for the fonts, I used Fungal and Mess. But for the header, I drew that with crayon and scanned it.)

A poster design I drew for 2023 (I removed the year to make it neutral for all years xD).

I made this using Illustrator, so it's all vector based. Urk, the file is huge now because of all the layer effects. I was also very inspired by old Jazz posters, with a bit of Bossa Nova for that fun look! Her hair is confetti and her dress glitter, btw~

As for the pose/body, I loved the idea of combining her body, dress, and instrument into one. And yes, I made the pose very intentional. I wanted it to have a sensual feeling to it, because music can be very intimate! As for the font, I used another as a base and drew it myself to have a more fun/random feel to it.:-)

I don't share my graphic designs too much, because I find it difficult to find a space for them online (unless they have a specific purpose, like a banner for a theme, for example). But, I'd like to try posting some.

Anyways, I made this late 2023? I just experimented with some random brushes, used some images from the public domain, and slapped a bunch of colours and textures. I love making more experimental stuff so much; especially when you have no plans. It's always a lovely adventure and surprise by the end!!

An old one. An experiment with the lasso vector tool in Photoshop. I also used a photo to trace over, as I wanted to see how far I could push the stylization, as well as still keeping certain features. I tried to incorporate typography in there, but no matter what I did, nothing worked; so I decided to keep it as is. It was a lot of fun though! Initially this was all a neutral brown, but I ended up going nuts with colours lol.

But I always feel a bit scared about sharing traced designs. It gets such a bad rep, specifically within online art communities. It's a shame, because you can do a lot of interesting things with it (not to mention, it's been done by many for centuries).
