Cupcake Burgers

What really attracts us to cupcakes? Is it their beautiful and colourful frosting, the soft and light texture of the sponge or that the fact that they put a smile on our faces? These cupcake burgers are the best treats to serve at baby showers, gender reveal parties or even at birthday parties. Get ready for this simply mind-blowing cupcake recipe!

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Serving: Makes 3 cupcake burgers

Ingredients

Purchase fresh ready-made cupcakes from your nearest retailer

Two sticks of Kit Kat chocolate

Chocolate chip cookies

Glazed Icing

Sprinkles

Method

Pour two cups of the icing sugar in a bowl, pour 5 tablespoons of boiling water and mix until smooth and slightly thick. If too runny, place it into the freezer until thick

Slice two of the cupcakes into half

Make a hole in the third cupcake by cutting a square/circle in the center. Enlarge the hole by pushing the sides further apart from one another using the end of a teaspoon

Crush one and a half sticks of Kit Kat, place in a bowl and set the remaining half aside

Crush a half of the chocolate chip cookie, place in a separate bowl and set the other half aside

Pour two spoons of the icing sugar into each bowl (kit Kat and the cookie) and mix until everything has blended in well

Leave the remainder of the icing in a separate bowl

Fill two of the cupcakes with your desired filling in the inside, place the other half on top and finally pour the remaining icing over the cupcake to complete you burger

Pour sprinkles inside the third cupcake basically until they overflow! And now you can pour the remainder of the plain icing over the entire cupcake

To polish your dish, stick the other half of the Kit Kat stick on top of the Kit Kat Burger and stick the other half of the cookie on top of the chocolate chip burger. Doing this makes it look more appetising, but it also displays exactly what are the contents of this mouth watering burger!

And there you have it, a beautiful mess of deliciousness! It's a bit of a long task, but the best way to serve it at parties, is to make it a DIY treat. Things would get messy, but it is so worth it. Dig in and of course, enjoy!
