Thanks to my dear @gloryraiin's awesome Fantasy World/AU, featuring her High Sea Captain Kidd and her crew, I was inspired to have a go at drawing my Cleo in her own Fantasy form and by God...I am dead super chuffed of how she turned out!! =OvO= So elegant...~💖 *0* And I am really loving how I brought her to life here with such detail in my neat sketch style! >W< Eeeee, so proud~! ;u;
Right, so Fantasy Cleo's story is quite similar to TWT Cleo's. But while talking with Glory, we discussed that a few parts in the story will take on a different approach~ c: So here, I was thinking that...
Cleo in the Fantasy World/AU, is a fair maiden and member of a dance tribe, who are inhabitants of a mystical bay. She enjoys exploring and dancing with her tribe upon the water's surface, under the night sky, singing and chanting all the while. She also bears the family shell necklace, which gives her the power to transform her tail into legs, and walk on land whenever she wishes.
One day, Cleo gets a little lost whilst exploring away from home and eventually swept up in a current...only to get caught in Captain Kidd's crew's fishing net. Cleo tells Kidd and her crew that she means no harm and vows to help around the ship if they aid into getting her home safely, promising they'll be greatly rewarded for doing so... And that is when they encounter Ariadne Marinea - a rogue pirate and Kidd's high sea rival!
Ariadne (or Ari for short) steals the frightened Cleo away from Kidd, for the reward of helping the fair seahorse maiden sounded good to her, whatever it may be! Although deep down, she is secretly enchanted by her - hence her fascination and interest in wild sea life. Whilst holding an upset Cleo hostage, Ari slowly begins to fall in love with her, despite being in denial about it for a while.
Eventually, she gives into the feeling and actively pursues Cleo to get her attention and affection. However, Cleo is understandably uncertain and nervous of the rogue captain, and attempts to resist her advances and pursuing. But slowly over time, she too starts to feel for her. Especially, during an evening battle with a sea monster - which Ariadne wins, in order to protect Cleo. And Cleo offers to nurse Ari as part of her gratitude towards her, their relationship beginning to gradually grow from there~
