As mentioned previously, Betelgeusian Chaz wears a pair of big sandals so they can feel taller. Unfortunately circumstances of a goopy nature can arise and result in the truth being revealed.

@askgloucester brought up some difficult and highly controversial statements in the chat earlier, and then we discussed this idea.

During a stream the other day @askgloucester was waiting for a notification to happen on his phone after commissioning Beed, and this happened.

Glou is a brand new character, so there’s not much about him just yet.  He was honestly one of those “for shits and giggles” kind of characters because of various ideas I have for skeleton constructs. He falls under a class I haven’t named yet, but they’re a mix of deer and human bones that are also mages.

Asriel was able to absorb all the souls in Undertale to become god-like.  Glou is like a bastardized version with no souls save for his own and a bunch of soul power shoved into a body that can barely handle it.  He is not considered canon in Tatters’ timeline unless I can balance him out enough or have a good enough excuse to consider including him.

If mages can put one or several trait magics in a construct, what about all of them?  The mages that worked on this project were hellbent on making perfected constructs.  Glou was the end result out of many experimental ones, all having previously burst from the stress since this was a lot to pack into one construct.  In fact for him to be as stable as he is, he’s technically a multi-bodied construct as well.  However the further he’s into his other form, the less containment he has.  He likes to stay as compact as possible.

Due to how valuable he is, mages also enchanted him to passively pull magic from his surroundings to keep him alive.  However they came to find later that war zones are incredibly dangerous for him since there’s more magic being dispersed from the dying/dead.  If he absorbs too much on top of what his soul is already crammed with without expending it one way or another, he would also burst.

His creation happened as the war ended, so while he didn’t taste real combat, he still went through vigorous training.  I’m not sure where to go from there yet, maybe he murders the group of mages out of frustration at his existence, or one of the mages takes pity on the fact that they’re training him to be just a weapon when they can see the intelligence in his eyelights and they steal him away to go in hiding, idk.  However I do like the idea of Glou finding somewhere safe to call “home” and slowly rescuing other constructs (if they chose to be saved).  Where?  Still debating it too, it would have to be an area considered inhospitable to humans to stay hidden.

Glou’s personality is also unknown.  It could go in a direction where he’s cold and spiteful from living in pain 24/7 (however he still expresses some sympathy toward other constructs), or he could act like some benevolent demi-god, or just the silent observer that steals away skeletons to drop them off in a much better community lmao idk.  I feel like him and Tatters would have some interesting conversations though.

I do want to do something with him, I love his design.  I just gotta let him simmer in the brainpan for a while longer.
