6. Favourite victim? I feel like the obvious choice here is Mia... so obvious it almost feels like a gimme? Mia's great but she doesn't really occupy the "victim" role in the story very much, it feels reductive to call her that when her narrative role is a lot more complicated.
I also really liked [spoiler] from the end of Spirit of Justice. I thought that reveal recontextualized the case up to that point, and the character, in very interesting ways.
I think Gregory Edgeworth works really well in AA1 as the beloved dead dad. Meeting him in AAI2 took away some of the mystique imo, Rachel Amber style. I think the character worked better when filtered only through the memory of the loved ones.
So in terms of true one-note victims we never meet as more than a jpeg: Valerie Hawthorne what is your deal I have so many questions for you.
7. Favourite murderer?
DAHLIA SWEEP... I love her. I think Dahlia is the best antagonist they wrote, and the throughline her three cases make in AA3 is probably the strongest. I think she's funny and compelling and enjoyably evil. I love what she adds to the Fey lore. One of the things I like about her is I think she works as a really fun antagonist taken at, like, the surface level the text gives you AND I think there's some interesting layers you can add to the character in fanon, even if I don't always like where fanon goes with her.
As a special shout-out to my fave accomplice to murder, I also think Morgan Fey is severely underrated. Can't believe there's five trillion essays of Manfred von Karma apologia about what a great nuanced dad he supposedly is but Morgan Fey who actually has all that complexity goes mostly ignored unless people stop to mention she's the worst mom ever. I mean, I can believe it, I've been in fandoms before, but lol.
19. Least favourite witness?
Hated talking to Mike Meekins. Mute the game whenever he's on screen because that damn mic feedback sound effect is infuriating.
The pedophile puppet ventriloquist in Big Top was also a nightmare.
Also any witness with a really long sprite animation that creates pauses between their dialogue boxes... my enemy.
