Module 4: Getting probiotics into your daily life. I will be implementing this module at the Butterfly level. This means that I will take a probiotic supplement at bedtime every night and eat 1/2-1 cup of Probiotic & Enzyme Salad before dinner every night. Benefits include: better elimination, increased immunity, less gas and bloating, weight control and more energy. All of that sounds good to me so we shall see! When you start Kimberly's programm, the first thing you're being introduced to is her infamous Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS). I feel bad if I don't have it in the morning! I surprised everyone around me when I put it into my routine. In France, green smoothies aren't very popular yet. People are very suspicious because a blend of greens and fruits seems quite a strange mix to them and the colour of the smoothie scare them a bit! Lol. But it's actually really, really good and I'm craving for this! When you start the day knowing that you're already giving your body something good, you start it positively, ready to face what is to come. The GGS help you do that. Crazy, huh?
A Glowing Lean System kind of morning and afternoon. First thing: mug of warm lemon water and a large portion of the GGS. For lunch: the Avo-Tomato lunch plate and a French Vanilla flavored Vega Shake.
Module 1 (Butterfly) & Module 2 (Chrysalis) Review- Steps I am already taking to improve my health include: 1) Warm lemon water followed by the Glowing Green Smoothie in the mornings 2) A huge salad of greens on or before lunch and/or dinner 3) Buy organic veggies as listed on the “dirty dozen” list 4) Eat at least 4 vegetarian dinners/week while incorporating veggies into my main dishes 5) Take the at home Candida test (for more info about that, msg me) 6) Incorporate cleansing fruits into your diet- last week I added pineapple to my GGS (what a treat!). As a result of these changes, I feel light and energized, I crave vegetables frequently, and I’m pretty regular (if you know what I mean) ;)
Module 2: Eat More Vegetables. I’m implementing this module at the Chrysalis level. At this level I will implement the following steps: 1) Eat a huge salad of greens for or before lunch/dinner 2) Incorporate vegetables into my main course every dinner 3) Eat @ least four vegetarian dinners each week 4) Eat organic, local, and seasonal whenever possible 5) Take the at-home Candida test 6) Incorporate cleansing fruit into my diet.
I started The Glowing Lean System (GLS) for the 2nd time, today. Didn't quite accomplish the modules the first time around, I did a module every two weeks but that stalled my process so I'm back to it and challenging myself to implement a module a week! The first module is titled: Establish A Morning Routine. For this module I chose the Buterfly level which consists of 1 litre of water, 1 mug of warm water with the juice of half a lemon, and the famous Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS). I skipped out on the litre of water and am aiming for 1 litre of water throughout the day but I had my warm lemon water and the GGS. Just recently I received a message from one of my readers as to which one of Kimberly Snyder's resources I would recommend to a complete newbie interested in the Beauty Detox lifestyle. The Beauty Detox Solution (BDS) is the foundation for the Beauty Detox lifestyle. It explains the entire methodology behind this lifestyle. It is super informative yet an easy read and will definitely make you a believer! However because Kimberly writes with such compelling conviction about the connection between what we eat and how we digest it, it can be a bit overwhelming because you will want to make all of the changes you can as soon as you can! When I first discovered the BDS, I devoured it, pouring over the pages wanting to know more because it is so heavily laden in TRUTH. I also ran out and bought a handful of ingredients and got to work in the kitchen. Sadly, I could not keep up with the demands and fell off. The Glowing Lean System has been paramount in helping me apply Kimberly's principles to my life. This system allows for you to pace yourself through her program and you can determine the level of intensity depending on the degree of changes you are willing to implement in your life. The Beauty Detox Foods is an absolutely gorgeous book! However I consider it more of a supplementary book with the BDS being the primary source. This book contains many, many recipes and will help you identify recipes that will target a particular beauty concern i.e., dull hair, acne, under-eye circles, etc. In short, I recommend one of two options: 1) Register for the Glowing Lean System and read the BDS simultaneously and then move onto the Beauty Detox Foods or 2) Read the BDS first then register for the Glowing Lean System and finish with the Beauty Detox Foods!
