What scares them ! Dlicti and Bucket are similar in that they both default to freeze as a fear response. Fight, Flight, Freeze, Faun, so they might not immediately read as scared when something happens.
Dlicti is affraid of clowns. Highbloods in general will probably make her freeze up any time she sees them for a long time coming, even unfamiliar ceruleans, maybe even some particularly haughty teals. Dlicti is like Plexus too in that she hypoventilates rather than hyper. The way she survived slavery was to just. Stop. They'll leave eventually.
Yeah I think all her fears revolve around the circus, carnival, clown faith in general. She is affraid to go out in public, not because she is scared of people, but because she is scared of highbloods. She was just minding her business when she was cornered, kidnapped, and enslaved. She'll probably be on alert outside her home for the rest of her life. She also avoids public for another reason. Its just easier. She doesn't remember much from her life before, and she has exclusively had social interractions in the form of hushed conversations with the few other slaves shed met, scrawled memos by the ur-clown she tended to, and the wordless interractions with her savior, and that wierd little seadweller.
Said seadweller is so wierd that she barely considers him a highblood. Really he basically isnt in everything but his blood itself. all of the traits that the highbloods she is afraid of have aside from the blood are absent in him. hes just a little guy. auuugh detheo is just a little guy. Her therapy cat. Hes her exposure therapy.
I think Dlicti likes the rain but is afraid of heavy storms. The whole carnival she lives in is pretty storm susceptible... She lives in a performer's trailer after all. I think she got help from the NNantis to move her trailer to more solid ground- a concrete or stone brick platform under a shelter near the cave that the Ur-Clown was buried under.
She also has an intense aversion to insects. Specifically the kinds associated with unclenliness like roaches, flies, and to an extent ants. She cant have those kinds of bugs touching her most of the time. In general though the bigger and slower the bug the more ok it is. Scarab beetles and Rhino beetles are her besties. She loves butterflies though prefers large moths and the duller colored ones, she loves bees, though prefers hornets and bumblebees, and hates honeybees.
She also has an intense aversion to rotten food and has definitely thrown out some perfectly fine food just under suspicion that it was too ripe.
She is bad at verbal socialization. She prefers text and whatever her local cat men have going on.
I think she is also super averse to touch for a long long time. Detheo likes being petted and likes using her as a basking spot when shes not moving/hj though and because of his small size compared to her its actually kind of calming. You need to be very ok in her book to be deemed safe though.
I think she's also. Scared of ghosts.
Bucket fears... The empire. Staying how she is right now forever. The grind. She's afraid of herself staying alive, shes afraid of her friends dying, shes more afraid of her friends leaving her behind. Dissapearing on day to participate in a bright future she could never be a part of. Something that has happened before. Something that will happen again.
Dehorner, she fears death... she fears helms and losing people to the empire. Her crew. She sees Helms as an extension of the empire. One of their instruments of consumption. Its ironic that she is an executioner... She does a lot to keep her crew safe. That includes the faked cullees (alt) who hide in her vessel. If she is ever caught out, she will be going down with the ship, and she will be the only one on it. Shes scared one day that she'll drop down to Alternia, or any of the other brood worlds, and find nothing but a smoking crater where once were her underground associates. Something that has happened before. Something that will happen again.
