Sukho Thai Restaurant
Hello All,
My daughter and I were out and about on College Ave, Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland,CA We decided to try this new Thai place called Sukho Thai http://sukhothaiusa.com for dinner. Nice ambience, roomy tables, and sort of a large menu. They also have a nice size Gluten free menu and are very accommodating for people with food restrictions/allergies. I started out with their Tom Kha Chicken soup (Coconut milk soup with Thai herbs and mushrooms $6.00) My daughter ordered hot, green tea and Chicken Satay, herbed chicken breast on skewer, grilled and served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad $8.00. The skewers where a hearty portion. For my entree I ordered the Beef Salad,Sliced grilled beef mixed with Thai herbs and ground roasted rice, seasoned with lime dressing $10.00.
Unfortunatley, I was very displeased with my beef salad. The beef was hard and chewy, as if I was chewing on a leather belt, but the rest of the salad was just "OK". The staff was nice, but if you are on any kind of time schedule do not come here. Street parking only. I was however impressed with the number of items that they offer gluten free.
