“ Waitwaitwaitwaitholdup— ! ! ” Are negative interactions bound to happen to him when he causes an accidental collision? Sure, Izuku’s happy to meet new people, but not when a rapier is pointed straight at his neck. If he hadn’t even noticed it at her side earlier ( because... er... who.. brings a rapier to school? ) he's... sure she probably would’ve committed murder, regardless of whether or not he defended himself with One For All. The sheer force of attempting to dodge sends him on his heels, nearly falling to the ground if he hadn’t regained stability- he’s too rusty for fighting or running, too unused to being close to death.

“ I’m so sorry- ” he breathes unsteadily, uncomfortably, his heart pounding and creating the sound of drums on loop- “ It was a total accident, I just- it’s so crowded now when school’s out, so- ” Pause. Breath. Calm down. He’s fine now. Hopefully. “ It’s... a really bad idea to bring a rapier to school. But I just-- er--- ” Anxiety and unease fill his expression when he stops, ending anything he’d wished to say abruptly. He’s making really terrible sentences on the spot- though maybe that’s to be expected, since he’s not used to this sort of rushed dialogue.
