rewatching gm flaws and i noticed something in the scene in the janitor’s closet.
so maya wants to go and find the bully and lucas picks her up to stop her from doing anything she could possibly regret.
he then puts her down and they both walk in front of riley and farkle, and lucas starts talking about how farkle shouldn’t let anyone else get to him. while he’s doing this, maya looks at him briefly - like really ultra briefly.
she then turns away, and you can see this super confused look on her face:
after which she seems to school her features and her eyes actually shift to look at farkle - which should’ve been done right from the start, since that was who lucas was talking to.
what lucas was saying to farkle wasn’t confusing. maya shouldn’t have had a confused look on her face - she should’ve been looking directly at farkle the whole time. but she wasn’t, she was confused. after what? after lucas had touched her by picking her up.
