A well-travelled CP 4038 sports a patched-up paint job at the yard in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, 10/13/1977. As CP phased out their F-unit fleet, 4038 would retire in 1982, whereupon she was donated for display at Minnedosa, Manitoba, and given a fresh coat of paint in classic CP maroon and grey. Two eras of diesel power cross paths as AC4400CW CP 9382, wearing her as-delivered dual flag paint job, hauls a sulphur train past CP's Royal Canadian Pacific luxury train, led by FP7A CP 1400 in classic maroon, yellow, and grey, 09/13/2002. These two locomotives entered CP's roster approximately 50 years apart, and in this photo 9382 would have been close to new. Photo by Mike Danneman via Railpictures.ca
