Keith hasn't lived the best life. But of course, every infamous pirate needs to have a tragic backstory, and he certainly ticks both boxes. The legendary island of Acrux is said to hide a treasure of incomprehensible worth, one many pirates would - and indeed have - kill for. The only problem is that no one has been able to set foot on the island, because a murderous spirit lives in its waters, leading each and every ship that comes close enough to feel its allure to its death.
When Keith finds himself in the possession of a map leading to Acrux, the only barrier standing in the way of his attempt to claim the treasure as his own is eliminated. But what he finds is not what he expected. Not what he expected at all...

Perviously my unnamed fic, this is, as mentioned, a Keith-centric pirate au that I’m posting for his birthday. The chapters are pretty short, since I wrote this is a lump then decided to break it up once it started nearing 10k words. I’m almost done writing it, only about a chapter and a bit to go now, so I shouldn’t have to drop the every two days schedule for any reason. Enjoy.
