Officially accepted by Newt when he compares you to a creature
We’re wishing a FANTASTIC birthday to Ron Perlman, who played the Goblin we all love to hate - Gnarlack - in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”!
So – you’re the guy with the case full of monsters, huh?
Gnarlack
A Theory
Spoilers Ahoy!!
So, I re-watched Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and I have a theory about where the real Mr.Graves would be...
Okay, so, Gnarlack says something along the lines of “You ask a lotta questions and that could getcha in a lotta trouble, Mr. Scamander...” Or something after Newt asks about Mr.Graves’ history and shit and we eventually find out that it was Grindelwald that was disguised as Graves. So I think Gnarlack knew something about that. Maybe they even met a few times and he maybe supplied him with some Polyjuice Potion? Unless he’s got some sort of creature/creatures that help to keep up the disguise for so long. As to what Grindelwald gave him Graves himself because, let’s face it, Gnarlack’s part of some underground mafia that Graves would be most likely to want to get in jail or something.
Conclusion: Gnarlack would want Graves dead, Grindelwald captured and offered him up in place of joining his army and perhaps even promised to find and share the Obscurial with Gnarlack.
Does anyone else accept this headcanon? I worked so hard on this damn headcanon and just... fuck it, I think it’s an amazing headcanon
Grindelwald’s supporters.
What if Percival Graves and Gnarlack are Grindelwald’s supporters?
Look at this pic with wanted posters from the New-York’s speakeasy of Newt, Tina and Gellert himself. Somebody mentioned before, that gangster goblin Gnarlack, who is the owner of the club “The Blind Pig”, could have been Grindelwald’s supporter. At least, they could have some shady deals together.
First of all, unlike the pictures of Newt and Tina, his one is torn in order not to be recognized, so the owner of that club might do it himself. Then, it was Gnarlack who informed MACUSA of “fantastic four’s” location. But since when gangsters help authorities? Mafia’s success was its ability to bribe corrupt public officials, so maybe in magic world real Graves was equivalent to that kind of a man. I don’t mean, that his interests were money-related, but he might found partnership with gangsters mutually beneficial. And they definitely have some history. Do you remember that dialogue between Newt and Gnarlack?
Newt: There is mister Graves, who works for MACUSA...I was wondering what you knew of his background? Gnarlack: You ask a lot of questions mister Scamander. That can get you killed.
Why would anything threaten to Newt’s life, if Percival Graves is and always was just a good guy?
Also, only this three chaps are wearing similar undercuts. Coincidence?
