"You do not understand how dangerous this is."
“ Then.. explain it to me so I can understand.” his voice never raises above a normal level– always calm and collected. Sounding pushy wouldn’t help anything. If anything.. a level-head was necessary. He was good at that.
“ What I understand presently is that it’s dangerous. But that in no way makes me want to help any less. If anything, it only makes me want to help more.” he quiets for a moment, watching as she moves about. Trying to get away, perhaps. He follows, then stands so he’s not quite in her way, but so he’s in her line of sight– a distraction.
“ Or don’t... You’re not obligated to explain anything. But regardless as to whether you just want me away, or you’re worried for my safety… I can assure you that if there’s one thing I DO know for sure… it’s that I can take quite a hit. I’ll be okay, whatever going on.
Please. If it really is so dangerous.. I can’t… just stand idly by and let you do this alone. Let me help you. ”
There’s too much at stake right now for a proper explanation. She’s crashed, on a strange planet. Her ship is badly damaged, smoke billowing from the open door. Every warning light flashes, every alarm blares. Really, the only thing she has going for her is that her translator knows the language.
And now there’s this... person. This strange person offering assistant even though she keeps telling him to leave.
Fine. He wants an explanation? He can have one. “My ship is damaged. It is leaking, somewhere, and if I cannot find it and fix it, there is a very good chance that it will catch fire, and this entire field will go with it.” She speaks very rapid fire, and the translator clipped to her belt spits out the translation just as quickly.
