So I'm a transmasc butch and I also knit/crochet, and I'm currently knitting a scarf for my grand-aunt bc she asked me to, and while I was doing it, just totally vibing because I love doing long projects, I randomly thought "totally breaking gender norms rn." Like. Basil. Um. Yeah. You use neopronouns, are a butch, and dress like a librarian who is secretly an assassin, I don't think knitting is this big break for you buddy.

This post is for people who have a complex relationship to gender and also love and/or are attracted to men. Attraction to men and being with men can be oddly weighted, gendered, and judged in our society. I hope you can find happiness and affirmation in your attraction and love, regardless of pre-conceived societal notions and stigma.

Passing, non-passing, passing doesn't apply, binary, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderweird, binary-adjaced, related to other identities - I hope you know whatever relationship with gender and gender expression you have that your orientation is good and deserves celebration. Orientation and gender can have a relationship with each other, but orientation doesn't determine gender and you can be whoever you want to be.

Gnc nerd culture is to read the same four books over and over because they have tomboy protagonists and it feels so good to be able to relate so much to a main character.

A beautiful letter from a girl who accepted herself as a lesbian. I had similar experiences when I was younger and trying to repress my natural orientation; it warms my heart how, in spite of fear and homophobia, homosexual women keep finding and loving themselves.
