It's nice to imagine Oscar saying this to Ruby:

"I know you want to be strong for your friends and I won't let you stop because it is your decision...

but I want you to lean on me. I want to be your shoulder to cry on when you're at your weakest. I want to be there for you when you want to cry. I want you to trust me. I'll be right here if you need someone. It's okay to cry."

Or he says:

"I want you to share your burdens with me."

I think that Oscar and Ruby both stress bake/cook respectively.

So sometimes the gang will come home and there’s just plenty of food and treats to last them for weeks because Oscar and Ruby are constantly stressed.

The two also tend to feed off of each other’s stress, if one is stressed, that stresses the other out. So they’ll make food for each other.

I imagine that Ruby and Oscar aren’t very words of affirmation kind of people, like yeah obviously compliments are nice but they both don’t really know what to say. It’s easier to show appreciation through gifts or by doing something for each other or by just existing near each other.

Since I headcanon them both as autistic I imagine they do parallel play a lot, just quietly vibing in the same room with each other while doing their own thing is nice for them. Especially given the hectic situation they’re in during the war.

Guys, I just thought of something. What if Salem tries to turn Ruby into a hound and Oscar manages to help Ruby break out of it by giving her the advice that she’s been giving him. “You’re your own person.” ie, you are in control of the merge. (Wether it be Ozmosis or turning into a hound.)

Oscar: So yeah that was my mom favorites story.

Ruby: Cool. Wait I think this was the first time you ever talked to me about your parents. We know each other for so long, and you never talk about them. I thought you didn't have any.

Oscar: Of course I had parents. Everyone does. Where did you think I came from?

Ruby looking away in embarrassment.  

Oscar: Wait. where did you think I came from?!

Ruby: ...

Oscar: Ruby.

Ruby: ...

Oscar: Ruby please.

Ruby: Fine. The cabbage patch.

Oscar: Seriously! Why!

Ruby: When I was little Yang told me that is where babies came from, And you did grew up on a farm. So it made sense.
