I’ve been in costa rica for about four-five days now, and it’s so stunning. the people here are great (although, they do try to sell you stuff a lot but i totally get it; politely say no, thank you, and move on.

i know very little spanish, enough to get me around the city; gracias, de nada, perdón, adiós, etc. I know the very basics since I’m still learning, but i’m here with my grandfather (who was born was raised in costa rica) and the rest of my immediate family (expect my dad and sister).

The places here are just gorgeous, I’ll attach a few images. Jaco is beautiful and the ocean is just perfect. The pool here is also lovely, and a lot of people just don’t bother you; unlike America where you have to talk to everyone.

The food is excellent, absolutely delicious. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat American food and think it’s as good as Costa Rican food. Even the pizza was better.

So, overall, if you want an out-of-country place to go, go to costa rica. it’s gorgeous.
