Today was my last homecoming as a student and I'm really fucking tired but I'm also so happy and sad and just real emo. I love my school so damn much. We have the best homecoming traditions in all the land

Ivan Allen College Family Weekend!

A favorite weekend of mine every year is Parent’s Weekend here at Georgia Tech! In addition to getting to spend time with my own family, it’s a lot of fun to be able to meet all of my friends’ families too! This year, the Ivan Allen College hosted a family weekend reception. With over 200 guests and faculty, the reception was a huge success!

The event allowed for families, students, Ivan Allen College Ambassadors, and faculty to mingle and discuss different campus events, classes, programs and more! After chatting over delicious food, everyone headed outside for a welcome speech from Dean Royster. A variety of different students then gave short speeches on their time in the Ivan Allen College and why they love Georgia Tech. Additionally, a number of different faculty and family won some awesome prizes in a raffle!

In total, the family weekend reception was a great kickoff to a fun parent’s weekend, followed by a Yellow Jacket win the following morning! Go Jackets!
