sqq transmigrates as per usual but yqy has a different response once sqq “wakes up”.

Yqy thought sqq had nearly died so instead of his placid-worrying sy wakes up to snot-smeared tear-streaked yqy kneeling beside his bed, clutching the spillover of his white bedsheets, with heavy, bumbling sobs.

When sqq sits up yqy lifts his head, eyes puffy and lips swollen, his whole face red. Yqy jumps terribly, slipping on his robes and falling further onto the bed in an attempt to stand, bringing him face-to-face with sqq. He reaches out as if to grab sqq- who looks horrified- and promptly pulls his hand back. They stare, green and brown, until yqy releases another choked sob and falls back down to the sheets.

“I’m sorry- I’m so sorry- I’ll never leave you again-“

Waking up was already disorienting- how did he get to bed? He could’ve sworn he was just at his desk.. Blearily opening his eyes, he sits up, sleep still clouding his vision, when he notices a loud, hitched, sob come from his left.

After yqy- the sect leader!! Of Cang Qiong!! Calms down and mu-motherfucking-qingfan explains his situation sy finally gets some reprieve as they are kicked out step out the room.

He transmigrated. He transmigrated. Holy fuck!! Into the scum villain of his most hated novel!! He’s going to fucking die, again!

He thinks he deserves to freak out, just a little.

After sqq “recovers” yqy is hovering over him constantly. It’s a little overbearing, especially since sy doesn’t know how to react around him, but the sect leader is the only person who didn’t hate the og right?? And the only one lbh couldn’t outright beat- so having him around can only be beneficial. But really, all these gifts, the constant pandering, yqy has even brought his own work into sqqs study while sy is still trying to figure out what goes where!! Go away!! It’s really- this smothering- way too friendly!!

The og was suppose to be ungrateful and take advantage of the sect leaders kindness right?? So why is yqy so clingy!! So doting!! This isn’t martial-sibling-y!!

Unless… no way.

But it would explain so much… the sect leader and scum villain were secretly lovers?! Why sqq got away with so much, why yqy was willing to die for him- it was like this the whole time?? And Airplane- that son of a bitch- said nothing.

Sy trying to figure out more about their romance dynamic so he doesn’t get caught. Yqy thinking that sqqs memory issues somehow made him think that their relationship was.. more intimate. Although he isn’t.. happy, per say, that sj has forgotten some of their past… if this is how sj felt about him before his betrayal.. and sj really is happy, now, then yqy will accept it. It’s everything he’s ever wanted, right? Sj safe and happy, and returning his affections, too? And he sees some of SJ’s typical mean-spirit when he raves about literature and people he believes to be “foolish”, so he isn’t all gone… he’s just lost what held him back, right?

TLDR: sy misunderstands yqy and SJ’s relationship and assumes it was romantic when he initially transmigrates. He then behaves accordingly and is trying to be friendly/flirtatious with yqy. Yqy is confused but not upset at this development.
