GOOD OMENS: DECODING THE HEAVENLY SCRIPT (please reblog so that the language geeks can find this)
So, I've made some progress, and then it all stopped. Feel free to help me out. I have searched through hundreds of scripts to find what I now have.
Some of the letters are in Tamil, some are (to me) impossible to figure out, and some are in Linear A, which is an ancient language (Minoan) that hasn't yet been cracked, unlike Linear B from the same area. So, we must assume the creators of Good Omens assigned meaning to them. The only letters I'm sure of are the Tamil and Minoan ones.

GABRIEL?... (or LEIRBAG?)
I think this word might spell "Gabriel". It makes sense because he's the one who's missing in this scene. Assuming that, we now have seven letters. Using an online crossword helper yielded basically nothing. So, what if this script is not read left to right, but right to left? Still nothing.
Letter 3 and letter 5 in this image are very similar, but the first one has an accent or addition of some kind, a diacritic. Usually (but not always) in scripts, a diacritic indicates it's a consonant with a vowel added after it. Is that the case here? Could the first one be a consonant+vowel sound, while the second is just the consonant? Or are they just different vowels?
Plenty of these symbols seem to have diacritics.
I grew up crafting conlangs and being a huge nerd about things like this, but are the creators of Good Omens as nerdy as me? And in this particular way? Or were they just a bit careless with their diacritics? Maybe this script doesn't mean anything after all?

I've tried to analyze the symbols in the surveillance camera clip of Gabriel leaving Heaven, on the assumption that the symbols were numerals denoting time. I looked for repeated strings of symbols, and while some do repeat, there is no string of ten symbols (0 - 9), and the total amount of symbols is much greater than that. So. They aren't numerals. Either that, or they don't have the same function as numerals in surveillance clips.
Or, again, and I'm beginning to lean towards this very hard: they're fucking with us.
This means nothing.
