Having a lot of thoughts about how while batman and joker fights and interactions tend to lean heavy on the homoeroticism, dotf was specifically homoromantic. Just one grand gesture after the next from the ballroom dancing to the 'family meal', even reusing romance plot tropes with bruce being told to run after him when joker flees the dinner. Whispering 'darling' in his ear at the end of the last fight. Just. Damn, very fun to read this angle.
