I'm replaying Chapter 4 right, and I hate/love that Ralsei has like 20 new text sprites that all represent fear, anxiety, depression, and the like.

Anyway! I actually incorporated some gesture and construction in this piece whenever I was drawing the head, but everything else was freehand. And I'm just gonna say it... I got really lazy when drawing the bookshelves in the background so I just decided to leave them empty after a bit 😭

I think this was my first Ralsei piece (that I've shared) where I drew him showing actual fear. I think I could've probably sold the emotions a bit better, but eh. You live and learn.

Chapter 4 really hit me in the gut with all of its emotions, so I'm really glad I can draw some of this stuff out!

A happy, fluffy, precious boy!

This was my first attempt at doing a piece made entirely out of graphite! I think for my first attempt at it, it turned out alright. I did watch like two videos learning how to shade, but I immediately applied what I watched into this drawing! My only reference that I kept coming back to was this Deltarune fanart that I found on Twitter, and I literally only used it for the horns lol.

Below this is just me self criticizing, so click if you just want to read me rambling lol.

So there are definitely a couple of things I screwed up on this drawing. First of all, the glasses. They are unevenly shaped and weirdly slanted, and it bugs me so much LOL. I'm also pretty sure the nose/mouth are misaligned with the rest of his face, that's a bit of an oopsies. The temple of his glasses are off - on his right ear, the temple is on top of his ear, but on the other side, the temple is going between his ear and head. I also think I was a little inconsistent with the shading on his scarf. Lastly, those horns! I didn't really notice it until way later, but they're pretty uneven, with one horn curving upwards at the tip and the other is curving downwards at the tip.

BUT BESIDE ALL OF THAT, I feel really happy with this piece :))))))))

I reminded myself while drawing the first piece here that I don't really draw characters sitting down too often. "Pshh, how bad could it be!" I told myself. And I mean... could've been worse lol. Besides the overall sitting pose needing improved on, I don't think I should've put an outline around the toe beans. Other than that and couple of misplaced pen strokes, I'm pretty happy with these!

Goat Wizard was created as a character design for a mobile game, but it got rejected by the developers for being too "Satanic," even though, Goat Wizard is not satanic, he literally doesn't worship Satan, and I tried to explain that to the developers multiple times.  

Despite his outward appearances, Goat Wizard is actually a committed Lutheran; he's so active in his community that he can be a bit condescending about his own piety at times. He's always referencing Luthor's '95 Theses,' but like, out of context, and he just sort of expects everyone else to know what he's talking about. And it's like, Goat Wizard, the rest of us don't have a strong opinion on the doctrine of justification that scripture is the final authority on all matters of faith. That doesn't come up in most of our day to day activities. 

It’s not relatable - but it’s also not Satanic. 

So, like I said, I explained all of this lore and backstory to the developers, but Goat Wizard still got dropped from the game for some reason. 

Their loss is your gain - Goat Wizard can now be whatever you want him to be. He's sure to spice up any fantasy adventure or commercial product design.
