i’ve seen a lot of Tumblr posts about the censorship language that people use on TikTok where people say things like and” they don’t even have to say unalive people say death and murder on there all the time” and I need you guys to understand just a little bit that tiktoks moderation very much mirrors tumblrs in the fact that the people whose videos get struck down for minor infractions are usually not because of the actual content of their video, but because they are hate mobbed by a group of people, so one person making a true crime video where they say the word murder but that person is a cishet white person who is generally excepted by the audience watching their videos is probably not going to get their channel struck down, but a trans woman or a person of color who says the word kill in reference to a video game one time will probably have their entire channel nuked without warning

recently, a prominent disability TikToker, who makes Pilates videos for people with cerebral palsy had her account struck down for being “under age” she is in her 40’s people just kept reporting her because she’s fat
