thinking about bear s3, slight spoilers under cut
is it lacking in actual plot (still havent finished shh)? yes! is it still an absolutely gorgeous, emotionally and visually holy shit ive been in awe, piece of media about how personal cooking needs to be for someone to be a successful chef and how if you dont learn to deal with your personal life in a healthy and mature way (im looking at carm and richie) it stunts your progress and ability (something i see all too much in the culinary profession especially with carm and the whole fishes thing), and the connections made with others is what gets you through service and essentially what carm is asking for with "evolving through passion and creativity" is the connection of others to collaborate (something he is deliberately shown to do while staging and not do when discussing the menu with sydney)? that his own bad experiences (joel mchale) in between stop him from continuing to grow emotionally and creatively as seen through the cycling of the menu and its components? yes.
