you are stunningly pretty!
Shh you too. You are such a beautiful soul Laura <3
Okay, I tried to shake it off, but I couldn't. and some of you asked me privately just an occasional message how is my weekend and I couldn't respond. Because this weekend started traumatically, and I am still shaking. And because I consider you friends, I am sharing this here. [this is personal, has nothing to do with SPN, and I am okay so don't worry.]
So making it short: I almost turned over with my car today, I thought I was going to be severely injured or worse. it was almost. but by some mircle I got out of it without a scratch. (my car is damaged. but this can be fixed)
Long story:
Yesterday was the first serious rain in my country, it's a country of barely three months of winter, and even then, we don't get so much rain. So raining=sloppy roads (all the oil and dirt on the road from the summer weeks just surface)
My new place (moved in three months ago) is on a mountain, and the road from here to my parents is a twisting road. so , twisting + sloppy + decline road. + it is my first time driving this road in a rainy day. let alone first rain.
I started driving, then at some point I lost control over the steering wheel, and the car just sloped to the left pathway, bumped into the fence separating the road from the wadi, then made a 360 degrees round, turned to the right pathway, bumped in the bushes and back to the left on the fence. Miraculously, the fence stopped me from rolling over. And I slowly returned to the right pathway, stopped to take a deep breath and burst into tears. The rest of the way I drove so slowly, just to get to my parents and have them and my siblings around.
The whole way I kept thinking if only there was another car on the road it would have ended bloody. Because no matter what side the car would come from, I would hit them, I was all over the road, sloping and swirling. it was a miracle it was empty. it was a miracle the fence stopped me the second time, it was a miracle it was one day and it wasn't dark, it is a miracle I didn't get hurt. at all.
I drove back home with my parents' car, took the long road, but the less twisted one. drove super slow and got home safely. on sunday morning I am going to take my car to the garage so they will fix it. I have insurance. It will be fine.
So, that was my day, it was 13 hours ago. I am still shaking, but less. I made a good soup and had hot chocolate and had my friends and family around.
There is a blessing we say in the Jewish tradition that called 'HaGomel' and it's basically a thanksgiving prayer that needs to be said in front of ten people or more. so I am saying this here.
I thank god for saving me today, for making this wake up call for me and keeping me safe. and for having my family around today. and my friends.
And I promise to drive safe and slow and keep myself alive.
