Suptober Day 13: Star-Gazing
Dean and Cas drove out to the middle of nowhere to look at the stars and ended up seeing a butterfly nebula (may or may not be because God!Jack moved it to let them see it)

Sam realizes he's only in heaven bcz his son is god and has imposter syndrome about it like did I deserve it? did I earn it? was I a good enough person?
God!Jack: if you don't stop meddling I'll be Forced to cast you out of Heaven
Dean: Don't Threaten me with a Good Time.
I feel like Jack's coming to appreciate Chuck's frustration with trying to control Dean 😅

Sam had just been going to get a glass of water when he hears a strange sound in the kitchen. An intruder, he immediately figures, because Dean had clearly been snoring when he passed by his bedroom — extra-loud, in fact; but then he'd started sleeping way better since Cas returned (and moved into his room, though they don't talk much about that) and well, Sam can't really find it in himself to be cross about it.
So he just pulls out the only blade he has on himself at the moment — what, they just defeated God — and tiptoes closer to the kitchen, edged against the wall.
When he's close enough, he barges in with a shout, flipping all the switches on. "Who are you!"
"Sam?"
It's Jack.
With a spoon in his mouth, and a bowl of what looks suspiciously like cookie cereal.
"You..." Sam squints, trailing off mid-sentence as he tries to figure out if he's dreaming.
"I don't need light to see things anymore." Jack cuts him off, as if Sam's expression of shock had sourced from the fact that Jack had been eating cereal in the dark. "I think it's because I am light."
Sam closes his mouth.
"Or because I'm also the thing I intend to see." Jack hurries to add. "All things, really. I'm still everything." Sam blinks. "And everything is still me, but I — I just missed you guys."

Suptober21 Day 7: Young at Heart

Gabriel remembers dying, his brother’s blade burying itself into his chest, the fierce pull into nothingness, into the Empty. He hadn’t really known what would happen next. Sure Castiel had yammered away about the Empty and how he had been killed by Lucifer and then resurrected. It’s not that he didn’t believe Castiel, but it was one thing to hear a story and another to live it. Or not live since he was dead.
He doesn’t remember a lot from the Empty. He died and it was uncomfortable, like thinking through jelly until it hurt and hurt and hurt. He didn’t understand how there was so much pain when he was a) dead and b) non-corporeal. Still he woke up a little when a something ripped through the Empty. That was almost worse. The constant pain was one thing but it was a whole other ballgame of strange when he was both awake and asleep and, you know, still dead.
