on a spiritual, highly impractical note, i reached out to aphrodite just a couple days ago, when i was first getting sick

she's been with me since i first joined the coven nine years ago, and potentially before (was she one of the reasons i was drawn to the coven? i had a very sapphic crush on the friend that introduced me to the coven in the first place lmao). when i left the coven two years ago on hard terms, i pushed her away from me as i pushed the coven away, rejecting worship at the same time that i rejected group ritual, and for the most part working with others at all. but she has stayed with me all the while, patient and amused and never once angry that i continued to try to push her away. perhaps frustrated with me at times, but always in the foot-tapping, head shaking, hands-on-hips sort of way.

and the other day, i reached out. like, okay. okay. i need help. i know you're there, i know i've been fighting you, but i need help. aphrodite, i need your help.

and then! and then! my coworkers proceeded to shower me in warmth and love and support! and i'm still completely broke and homeless but just the mere existence of such wonderful people makes me feel so much better! and then last night i finally had the resolve and confidence to reach out to that friend to build my website! and

thank you aphrodite. i see you, i see me, and i see where i just needed that little push to reach out and ask for help from not just you, but from people who care about me more than i realized. and also to ask for help on here! i have only received ten dollars so far but i'm hoping that with that i can at least buy some eye drops, maybe a small box of otc store brand cold medicine lol. so thank you. thank YOU, dear follower. and thank you, aphrodite.
