SO glad you're asking about this one Pierre!! It's one of my favorite misc. world building aus I have on hand! (Putting stuff under the cut-)

     The gods were powerful, mighty beings who only knew their own rule. In the lands were Dream and Nightmare were born, curses and misfortune ran amok. A few gods tried to keep peace, but others brought nothing but strife and hardship to their people.

   Dream still remembers the day an old God had visited their hometown. Night had tried to protect Dream from the god's wrath. They'd tried to protect their home. But as children, not understanding the severity of their foe, they were cursed with something far worse than all others. A black tar-like magic would coat them from head to toe, and any they touched would turn away from them, overwhelmed by emotions and pain.

   The brothers had swiftly learned they couldn't live in the town, certainly not what was left of it, and moved into the woods where an abandoned cottage stood.

   For years they fought and clawed their way out of depressions, through horrid storms, and through the retaliation of their old neighbors. They made it through the hardships because they had eachother. Not bothered by the other's aura or touch, they were forced to live as a support system of two.

   Their magic grew stronger, their auras more volatile. Nightmare's patience grew, while Dream's became thinner. Dream's pleasure grew at their isolated life, and Nightmare's despair thickened.

   And, one morning, they were up and tending to the garden. Night had his basket full of their plants, and Dream was down in the dirt, digging for the few rooted plants he was sure had survived.

   The steps they heard, neither of them had expected. The rustling of the plants as a figure easily ducked through them. The grin on the stranger's face as he caught sight of the two monsters. He wasn't from their old village, but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous.

So. "God Swap" is an au where certain characters are gods, some are mortals. Dream and Nightmare were cursed by XGaster as kids, but they live peacefully. Up until the moment above! The quick version is, Killer, Dust, and Horror are three of the gods in the pantheon. Killer in particular is the God of Lost Souls. These gods are capable of having acolytes, chosen ones, but Killer has never had one. He treats Mortals as toys, things to be hunted and played with. He ends up taking Dream as his next 'plaything' (separating him from Nightmare).

Eventually this leads to shenanigans. Killer gets attached, Dream makes some friends, and Nightmare meets Cross, God of Loyalty.

It's very convoluted, but it's only because I initially had a draft called 'Gods' where Dream and Night were the gods! In this one, Nightmare is in a temporary stasis as he performs his duties, but Dream stumbles across Killer. Killer is foreign, not one of Dream's people, but he can tell his bloodline had a deal which would promise him as an acolyte to his twin. So, he yoinks up Killer and decides to pamper/befriend him until Night can actually claim him as an acolyte. Ofc, Killer gets WAY too comfortable around this God he doesn't even serve, but Dream is happy about it, so they just have a situationship. "God Swap" ended up putting Dream in the horrific position of Kidnapped By A God, but Killer is WAY less fond of mortals at first lmao.

God Swap: Jasico

Nico as a son of Hecate and Jason as a Son of Nemesis. AKA Titan Army Jasico!!

These posts are getting progressively later…oh well.

Also I added some Hades!Alabaster and Jupiter!Ethan to complete the swap. Also I just really wanted to draw my son Al. Haven’t drawn him in a bit.

Jasico week day 4: God swap

Since Nico is basically adopted by Dionysus at this point, he’s been swapped. I imagine he’s a little more on the “madness” spectrum of Dionysus’s power set…

Jason on the other hand deserves a happy life where he’s wanted and loved so I picked Vestia, the Roman goddess of Hearth and home. So he actually has a parent that cares about him… I just want him to be happy…. He’s made some croissants and he’s a little chubbier since he doesn’t have the pressure of Jupiter and Hera on his back.

Nico, as the son of Aphrodite, had some suitors. It wasn't something as violent as when his mother had granted him that blessing where practically every boy who also liked boys in one way or another would fall in love with him.

Still, Nico only had eyes for one person. Hermes' son, Jason Grace. This had been the first man who had seen him as he really was. That he had seen Nico instead of Aphrodite's son.
