A little Strength for Today! 

[Most] Blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidance the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. -Jeremiah 17:7 

     When Jesus instructed us not to worry about tomorrow, he was saying that we should deal with life one day at a time. He gives us the strength we need as we need it. Now, when we take that strength and apply it to worry instead of action, we rob ourselves of the blessings God intended for us to have today. We miss out on a lot of good things because we worry about bad things that that may not even come to be. 

     Lord, I want to be like that tree planted by the waters. My hope and confidence are in you alone. Amen!
