__________ ♔     CASUAL  CLOTHES  ALMOST  SEEM  OUT  OF  PLACE  AS  SHE  WANDERS  THE  NEAR  EMPTY  HALLS  OF  THE  CASTLE,     YET     robes will not be required until classes reconvene in the   new  year.      she could have never   believed   it if someone told her a year ago that she’d come to feel more at home with the   ghosts  &&  echoes   of hogwarts than at her family’s manor     ...     but the   WAR   had changed much.      even with the walls rebuilt  &&  the dark lord defeated by the  ‘  chosen  one  ’     (  though no one could quite seem to agree   who   exactly that would refer to with the prohecy’s vagueness  )      she is still trying to pick up the pieces.      solitude is broken by a figure on the staircase,     pulling her out of the train of thought.     ❛   i thought everyone had gone   HOME   for the holidays.  ❜     tired voice murmurs.      most students weren’t keen on staying on the grounds with all the   memories   of the past year.

they were making progress- and frankly, that was more than katherine had hoped for, at least at the beginning. she witnessed first hand how threatened pulitzer was ( and he’s a hard man to defeat ). the young journalist wasn’t ready to give up just yet, and if she can’t reach jack now, she still had the others. the newsies were ready to fight, she could see it, even when their leader tried to tell them otherwise. she just needed to talk to davey. she hasn’t known him for very long, but he always seems to work well with jack. they have to come up with something- a way to get him back. “davey,” she calls out, spotting the exact newsboy she was looking for. katherine stops running when she reaches him, allowing herself to catch her breath. “we have to talk about this.” of course, she is talking about jack’s ‘betrayal,’ or maybe her own betrayal, because really, if davey finds out who her father is he would certainly think its a betrayal.

OK BUT NO SERIOUSLY I'VE BEEN YELLING ABOUT THIS FOR CENTURIES????? LIKE???? BEN/CHAD/AUDREY MUST'VE GROWN UP TOGETHER??? LIKE THEY WERE THE TRIO OF AURADON????? AND LIKE?? CHAD'S WHOLE BACKSTORY IS FAR RICHER THAN IT'S PRESENTED (imagine ur growing up wanting to be king, but then ur best friend overshadowed u. and not only that, he dated the person u liked - audrey?) BUT THE MOVIE JUST. DON'T REPRESENT THIS.

ALSO IM SORRY FOR RAMBLING BUT YOU BROUGHT IT UP AND IT JUST MADE ME PASSIONATE BECAUSE FRIENDSHIP ERASURE? no, they basically erased a lot of chad's potential and true growth.

   Literally !! The  Royal Trio give me emotions. Chad and Audrey didn’t exactly agree with Ben’s plan to bring the VK’s over but they didn’t fall out over it, like sure they didn’t give it a shot and were very resistant to change but they stuck by him (until Chad got spelled) and most likely stood up for Ben to others about  his  choice because Audrey wouldn’t let anyone say anything bad about her friends and Chad is loyal he would do anything to protect them. 

   And about the King thing Chad grew up completely in Ben’s shadow and he didn’t resent him for it. Ben got; the girl, captaincy of R.O.A.R despite Chad being better, the crown and still they were Good friends. If he wasn’t already in the shadow of his father his namesake it was his best friend then when he gets the chance to shine, when Ben has to focus more on Royal duties than sports it’s taken away from him again. Which is why I feel he always wants to prove himself.

   Sorry, I the comments and just. The Royal Trio deserve better. Not to mention making a “hero” thats  egotistical and arrogant is why I loved him as a character it was different, in the books he gets a better story but the pieces for Chad’s development and story are already there.  is he going to ever get the development and growth he deserves ? Probably not and this is an issue I think about a lot.

          everyone knows what they say about young russian skaters--yuri had just been yuri enough about it to think that if he was simply stubborn enough, it wouldn’t be a problem. that even thinking about the possibility might be tantamount to manifesting it into being. he remembers there being other skaters with him in juniors who didn’t even make it to their senior debut before they dropped from the rankings entirely. they all started young, skated with the precision, grace and determination the world came to expect from russia and then found themselves useless the moment they hit a growth spurt and became exactly as gangly and awkward as every other teenager in the world. 

        somehow, naively yuri thought he’d been excluded from this. he’d always been small--which bothered him in theory--and maybe he’d stay that way--bothered him, but at least he’d be able to keep skating. 

          but that’s not what happens. he turns seventeen, shoots up almost four inches overnight and can’t keep enough track of all this additional height well enough to land most of his jumps. jumps he could do from the age of six. with all the stumbles and falls--including one that’s left him bruised from knee to shoulder--he manages a pathetic seventh behind just about everyone worth competing against, the worst he’s ever done at the gpf. beka placed--because of course he did, he’s technically perfect and has more strength in his pinkie than half of them do in their entire body--but the idea of going to the banquet ( having everyone look and know and pity ) is unthinkable. not even for beka. he needs to wallow in self pity and the ruins of his career for a while--possibly with a lot of champagne. 

           “--no, i think i’m just gonna go back to my room. you should go though--they always wanna talk to the medalists. you’ll have sponsors lining up out the door.”
