We had our final walkthrough of the new place this afternoon and met one of our new neighbors. She has lived there for 20 years, is on the Homeowner’s Association, and seems completely awesome. We walked in on her starting a woodworking project, which is a skill/hobby I’ve been thinking of taking up for a while now, so I was like “hey want to be best friends hahaha just kidding no but really do you?”

We close on the house tomorrow at 3PM. The biggest check I’ve ever seen is sitting in my husband’s wallet right now, ready for deployment. We won’t be able to move anything until next weekend, and our final move-out date at our current duplex isn’t until December 15, so it’s not like it’s going to change things day-to-day just yet. But. Wow. We’re officially buying a fucking townhouse tomorrow. Holy shit.

To distract myself until then, I downloaded a nifty wardrobe organization app called Stylebook and have been using it to catalog my clothes. It lets you put together hypothetical ready-to-wear outfits - something I am very, very, very bad at without the aid of technology, apparently, lmao. So far this has actually been incredibly helpful and I can already tell that I’m going to become heavily dependent on this app, hahaha.
