Yaaay, I've been waiting for the day I could ask someone this: did it bother you how quickly every picked up sign language around/for John Matthew? Like, at least Blay and Qhuinn took, like, a couple of weeks, but Xhex was just like, boom. Known him for an hour and she's signaling super complex ideas with perfect grammar. I mean, I know vampires are super smart or whatever, but that smart? And I don't remember which of them John Matthew taught to finger spell--all three of them?--but that's literally all he showed them was finger spelling, and like one scene later they're just signing a super fast conversation and I'm like, "Nope. Super smart or nor he didn't have the time to show you enough signs to say all that, and you can't finger spell that fast." It bothered me enough that I stopped reading Lover Mine even though I'd read more than three fourths of the book.
(On a related note, should I go ahead and try rereading Lover Mine and then finish the rest of the books too? I bought Lover At Last and read just the bits about Qhuinn and Blay--I was rather disappointed that they got so little love compared to all the het couples in all the other books--and man was I confused by the handful of non-romance plot references that I had to deal with.)
